EGFA Abogados advises Telecom Argentina in an export credit line granted by Banco Santander and JP Morgan for US$96 million guaranteed by the official export credit agency of Finland.
With the advice of EGFA Abogados, Telecom received a new credit facility, for an amount of up to US$96 million, which has been organized by Santander and JP Morgan Chase and is aimed at continuing to finance its telecommunications infrastructure investment plan for the country.
Telecom said this financing was closed at an interest rate lower than the “Argentine cost”, with a final maturity in 2026.
The loan will finance part of the strategic investment plan announced by the company, with a focus on the continuous deployment of the 4G Personal network and with new sites to boost mobile connectivity throughout the country. Telecom will also expand and convert the fixed copper networks to fiber networks or fiber-coaxial hybrids, in order to strengthen the Fibertel fixed broadband and pay-TV services through Cablevision.
